I’m finally home again from a long weekend at work. I swear, there are times when I feel like I live at that store. Two nine hour shifts– one on Saturday, though it was broken up between the gas station/cashiering, and another full cashiering shift on Sunday, again eight hours. Gods, were we busy. Everyone was getting ready for going back to school and apparently they all decided to go grocery shopping at the exact. Same. Time. Ugh. It was non stop all day, though it did finally start to quiet down after I got off at 8pm. After that, I wandered around the store with my friend, who shall be known here only as Princess, and shot funny videos which we’re hoping to eventually put on YouTube in the hopes of educating people on how to grocery shop properly. (Trust me, after the insanity of Sunday, people need to re-learn the basics. Yes, I’m talking to you, Lady Who Left Her Cart Full of Groceries Standing Around For Thirty Minutes While She “went to go get an extra item”, Then Got Pissy With the Staff For Putting Your Crap Back on the Shelf) If you’ve got any suggestions on stuff we should include, leave a comment.
We’re not even close to being done yet but I’m going to spend some time today editing what we shot last night and planning what we’re going to do next. Did I mention we both had entirely too much fun? XD Happily, Princess will soon be joining the ranks of cashierdom, which means I probably get to train him. Mwahahahaha!
This week should be a little bit less crazy than last. I’ve got better hours and some of my training is almost finished, plus I’ll be getting some more training on Tuesday, though for what I’m not entirely sure. (I think it’s customer service related but I’m not 100% clear on that and I forgot to ask) I’m excited as always. Don’t really know why, but I am. Even after yesterday’s insanity, all I really needed was a good night’s sleep and now I feel back to my crazy self. Plus, today I am one day closer to receiving my beautiful, shiny new laptop! Oh yes. It should be shipping out very soon. One week at the latest. I can’t wait. I’ll probably have it in my hot little hands by the end of this month, which is fantastic. Every morning I wake up and take a moment to imagine what it would be like to have a laptop sitting next to me, ready for me to log on and check in on the intarwebz, instead of having to get up, drag myself downstairs, mutter something at my parents who apparently think I’m ready to talk and interact with humanity even though I’ve only been awake for five minutes, and then wait for the damn thing to boot up, load up, etc. Bleh. Yeah, I can’t wait to not have to do that anymore.
I’d probably better get on with the rest of my day. I still need to cook myself lunches for the rest of this week and get the last of my chores done. Maybe I’ll even have time to work on Dreamfall, which is almost a month late at this point! Ergh. Sorry folks. I’m working on it…
