Rockin’

Hello? Why, yes, I AM writing to you from my vacation! Hahahaha! OK, so technically I haven’t left yet, but EVEN SO. I am planning. Lists are being written. Eventually, there will be packing. I only wish I could pack my friends with me. Not that I have anything against traveling with my mom–we’ll have fun, oh yes, but I realize that just because I’m off doesn’t mean any of my friends are…this makes me sad. Still! I don’t have to work for the next ten days, and seven of those ten days will be paid! Isn’t that amazing? Haha. Paid vacations. Best idea ever.

Unfortunately, in line with my usual travel luck, I’m sick. The day before we leave. Nothing serious, just a stuffy nose and general sense of ickiness. I suspect my partner in crime’s recent cold has rubbed off on me. (If you’re reading this, Princess, you suck. Big time. I realize that I am a plague that will eventually kill the entire world, but the point of being a plague is that YOU DON’T GET SICK. In short, I hate you as much as ever. <3) Anyway, I don’t think it’s anything a good night’s sleep and massive amounts of green tea can’t fix. And hey, if there’s something I’m good at, it’s drinking massive amounts of green tea. Seriously. Just poll the Starbucks where I work. They will tell you. My co-workers literally fear I will turn into a green tea one day. Others worry when I do not have my signature cup with me. It’s that personal flourish I always wanted and never expected would be something like…green tea.

Also, my iTunes library is still totally fucked up. For some reason it’s forgotten where all of my songs are located, even though they’re EXACTLY where it put them, nothing has changed, etc. When I try to play certain songs I get a “file cannot be found” error message and it’s really starting to bug me. Even some of my podcasts are doing it. (Not cool.) But, in the twist of all twists, all my music still downloads to my iPod and works fine…it makes no logical sense. I dislike things that don’t make logical sense. In fact, I usually fantasize about shooting such thing in the head with a shotgun. (If they have heads.) Since I obviously can’t do this to my beloved laptop, I would dearly love any and all help I can get with this problem…suggestions welcome. I’ll try and diagnose it on my own, of course, but I’ve never been one to turn down assistance when it’s needed.

Anyway, I’ve probably rambled on long enough. These lists won’t write themselves and I have more Dexter to watch. Mmmm…Tony Hill is amazing, but I’ve missed my favorite serial killer and his penchant for blood. Good night, world. Next entry will be coming at you from Atlanta, Georgia!
