Welcome to day one of NaNoWriMo, everybody! (possibly day 2 if you’re in a different time zone than me) Remember to lock that inner editor of yours up in a cage and throw away the key for the next thirty days. They can squawk at you about things like grammar, talent, and plot development in December. For now, all you need to worry about is getting those words down onto the page. I’m totally psyched for this year’s noveling efforts and I hope you are too! If anybody wants to watch my progress, I’ll be posting weekly updates here in my blog, and also updating my word count obsessively on the NaNo site under the name Kurichan.

Attended a midnight nano kickoff write-in with about a dozen authors. had a blast and even have some words to count

Sweet! That sounds like fun. My region’s kickoff party is tomorrow evening, and I’ll be attending. My word count is already excellent and I can’t wait for my day off to spend more time on it.
