oh my god NATURE!

So, this past weekend, my parents and I took a little day trip up to Norris Dam to do a bit of sight seeing, test out mom’s snazzy new camera, and to enjoy what was left of the warm-ish Autumn weather before the endless, damp hell that is a Tennessee winter begins. (Seriously. The winters around here are cold, damp, and gray as dead brain matter. It sucks.)

We stopped, saw the dam, marveled at human ingenuity, and I got dizzy. (Don’t judge me. I don’t do well with heights.) Then, we decided to go check out some of the surrounding park areas, just to see what was available. And while we were touring, nature happened.

Seriously. It was very exciting. And natural.

The only bench on the Norris Dam outlook had some interesting notations on it.

Anyone know what this means?

*gasp* Is that...NATURE!?!

There were some younger deer hiding in the nearby brush, but they were almost impossible to get a good shot of…

Camouflage, bitches.

So yeah. Fun times! It’s been a long while since I’ve seen wild deer, and these were practically tame. They came up to the car and to us with almost no fear, looking for treats. They were pretty adorable, though not very healthy looking. You can tell there wasn’t any hunting allowed in this park, or any real predators to speak of. We all had a great time photographing them, and it was nice to get out and spend some time with my family.

so op

The best part about this game? Listening to the enemy team cry about how broken and overpowered support champs are.

Yeeeeah.

GG

And then, this happened…

For the definition of the word "epic", see above.

’nuff said. =D

Besides, of course, that my team mates are awesome, and that you should never say “gg” in Dominion until someone’s Nexus is exploding.

remember

Today, I’m excited to join the movement of people switching away from big banks and sending their money to establishments that can be held accountable for their actions. I’m tired of my bank charging me monthly fees for not receiving direct deposits into my bank account– big shock, since I haven’t been able to find a job in the past year. (Not to mention, what happens if I want to cash my check at the business itself so I can have some spare cash? What then?) What’s worse is these fees keep getting bigger and bigger, and are targeted at some of the poorest states in our nation. This is the purest embodiment of evil! If I wanted to spend $8 or $12 a month frivolously, instead of scraping and saving like I have to in order to survive, then I’d go buy myself a fucking Steam game, or a book, or maybe a meal at a restaurant! What right do the banks have to charge me fees when I cost them NOTHING? I am a customer who uses an online account, gets emailed her bank statements, and generally leaves no footprint behind when it comes to money. I barely even use my debit card. (Again, because I HAVE NO JOB.) What need could they possibly have to charge me this? And what about the other types of accounts they’re charging fees? I remember the list. Some of the types of accounts included were for students, or targeted at savings accounts. What is the point of having a savings account if it accrues little to no interest and then is charged a monthly fee on top of that? You’d be better off to stick a wad of cash under your mattress! It’s ridiculous!

If you can’t be one of the people who transfers their money out of the big banks today, I understand. My mother is faced with the same problem, and she has good reasons for making her choice to stay, as do many people. There are always other ways to make statements and support movements if you believe in them. I hold no grudge against those who can’t participate today. But for those of us who are…I’m excited. I can’t wait to see how many people they lose over their corrupt schemes and terrible business practices. It’s good to see someone who does the wrong thing being held accountable for their actions, and being made to face the consequences. At the end of the day, that’s what it’s all about. I’m tired of watching businesses, people, governments, and so called “news” organizations feeding us lies, restricting our freedoms and trodding over our rights and not being held accountable for any of it. It’s wrong. It needs to stop. If the Middle East, a place most Americans consider to be a 3rd world country full of goat humping, terrorist scum with no reason to even exist, can achieve what it has over the past few months, whereas the oh-so perfect “leader of the free world” cannot…what does that say about us?

I hope the actions we take today result in the changes we deserve. If not…well, I’m still just happy not to be charged $12 a month for absolutely no reason. :) Stay safe, everyone.

noooooooob

So, I was surfing through The Tribunal the other day, minding my own business, quietly bringing the justice of the League on unsuspecting dickfaces, when I came across a certain player. This person, while not unlike many of the other people I’ve seen reported in the Tribunal, had a special quality about them that caught my eye. Not only do they have a penchant for playing Soraka, one of my favorite champions, but they also had a certain, *ahem*, gift with the English language that was just irresistibly funny. I don’t think I’ve paid such close attention to 10 chat logs in all my life.

Here, let me show you what I mean…

Once again, I must thank the League of Legends community with providing its players with the highest quality entertainment possible. Seriously, people. You can’t make this shit up.

And now if you’ll excuse me, I have some Tetreis to go play.
